So it's finally here, with the strong line of 3D televisions hitting store shelves people are getting excited. Although 3D TVs has its share of rumors and misconceptions... First! Most 3D glasses will be needed along with your 3D TV. Most 3D Glasses come with the TV. Also most 3D TV's have 2D (standard TV format). Which means 3D HDTV can be switched on and off at the user's will.
Most 3D tvs have already installed converters which turn your existing 2d media into 3D. Right now their may not be very many 3D DVD collections out, but you can bring new life to your old DVD collection by converting them to 3D! Please see product description for what exactly comes with each TV.
If you want to experience the full HD 3D television experience you're going to have to buy a new 3D TV. The hope of buying an adapter and installing it to convert your previous 2D TV(standard format) to 3D is UN-likely. That's because 3D HDTV requires a much higher refresh rate at about 240 Hz, but most 3D TV's have already built in converters. See product description and/or reviews for more.
